Embarrassment with stitches

**sigh** i am sooo embarrassed! i went on a tubeing trip with my bf and his family, and him and i were walking on a broken log in the water. i slid off the end and sliced my foot open. it didnt hurt that bad so i didnt think anything of it, but when we pulled it out of the water it was horrible! tissue was hanging out of it and blood poured. we rapped it up in his tee-shirt and we floated down the river for 5 more hours!!! i did it durring mid day ,and got home at 5:00pm. my mom saw it and flipped! so we rushed to the ER and i got over 5 shots and 8 stitches!!! it hurt soooo bad. i couldnt help but yell. its been a day and im still hurting :( i still cant believe that happened

thankyou! well the reason i got so many shots is because the pain killer kept wareing off. she had to give me another shot at the last 2 stitches!!
